Awkward Question: Why Am I Always Wet?

0

Someone walked up and asked me this question, and the answer may vary for other women. I did, however screen this young lady for the usual suspects before coming to my conclusion.

1. Be sure to see an OB/GYN

If this is an ongoing issue, you definitely need the assessment of a medical professional before proceeding. He/she can screen you for various STDs, STI’s and vaginal infections such as Bacterial Vaginosis. Once you rule this very important factor out, it is easier to proceed and find a solution to your discomfort.

2. Your Ph may be unbalanced

After ruling out infection, this sounds like the real and true answer, and there are quite a few ways to balance the pH. The vagina’s flora are very sensitive, and factors such as what you do for a living every day may play a major part in your daily pH. If you sit in an office chair a lot, moisture may build up in the nether region. If you work in a high-intensity environment, rigorous activity and sweat may cause your pH to start acting up. For solutions to balancing your pH, read here and here.

Natural Solutions to Balance your pH

3. Wear panty liners

While you pinpoint the problem, wearing panty liners during the day is a great way to absorb the moisture you experience from vaginal wetness. This will help avoid further irritation and possible yeast infections caused by excessive moisture. No matter if you’re very physically active or if you sit in an office during the day, vaginas need space to breathe. Panty liners create a gap between your vagina and the underwear/clothes that covers it.

4. Go Commando in Bed

The best time to get ventilation without all the extra stuff is at bed time. Try slipping into a pair of cotton shorts or pajama pants before bed and let your vadge air out.

5. Don’t Add Anything

Until you get recommendations from a licensed physician – do not put anything on your vagina. No vaginal powders or creams will help you if they’re not solving your individual problem.

“Quickie – Part 2” (Reader-Submitted Erotica)

0

(Continued from “Quickie Pt. 1”)

Thankfully, the janitor’s interruption was brief…He left something the office, grumbled something about “hating these muthafuckas” and closed the door…

I was able to resume my self-pleasure, trying to find t
he grove I was in before being so rudely interrupted. I began gently pulling and kneading my nipples, and sure enough, the familiar feeling of arousal returned. First the left, then the right, as they engorge with blood and become insanely sensitive to my touch…

My mind begins to slip into the “pleasure state” as I massage my pussy lips with my bullet. The low-frequency hum against my vulva causes my legs to slowly drift open as I cross my ankles. “mmmmmmm…” I moan, as I move my bullet closer to my clit. It brushes against my now plump, pink button and I reflexively sigh, as I slip deeper into the trance of sensual touch, cool steel to warm skin.

Finally, I’m wet enough to hydroplane a tire…My pussy is almost dripping, copious amount of my love running down my leg…I think in a passing way about the wet spot I’ll have on my skirt. But the thought passes quickly. inside me goes my bullet…I shake, my head thrown back so hard, I bang it on the underside of my desk. The contact arouses me further, as I arch my back to accept the toy deeper into my now clenching pussy…”Ohhh God…” I moan as my hips begin their dance, grinding and rolling as thrust the bullet inside me and pull it back just as quickly. I’m on autopilot now, body responding primally as my moans become sharper, louder, interspersed with curses. My nails dig into the commercial grade carpet and bend as the muscle contractions come faster, faster and harder…Oh God…I’ve totally forgotten where I am, the time, everything but this feeling…I’m about to fall over the edge. And I want it.

…what I didn’t notice as my orgasm built into a runaway train I didn’t dare stop was his entrance into the office…

To Be Continued…

Reader-Submitted Erotica: “Quickie Pt. 1”

1

“Quickie…”

The office hums with silence as the last employee leaves.

Proposals due, quality monitoring; all of it becomes a blur after 5 o’clock.

I kick my purse back under the desk; ‘not leaving here anytime soon.’ My speedy bag buzzes lightly, and I realize I forgot to call home.

As I reach for my phone, my hand embraces the smooth surface of – my vibrator? It must have fallen in while I rushed for work. I look around my empty office. Welp…

I crawl under my big oak desk and pull my panties to the side. Clicking my bullet like an executive pen, I let it glide slowly over my clit.

The moan I let out startles me, and I look around as if someone’s going to hear me. Yes, I’m still alone here. My head leans back and I instinctively rub my nipples through my lace bra.

Two minutes in and my knees are already quivering. As I get into it, I slip the bullet inside of me and shudder as an orgasm begins to rush through me.

My toes curl inside my leather pumps, nipples harden as I bite my lip and groan. “Mmmmmhhhh!!” Is all I could let out before the office door flew violently open.

Oh shit, the janitor!

Know Your Materials; What are Phthalates?

0

Sometimes in the midst of shopping, we forget to pay attention to what we’re buying. Choosing a good quality toy is no different. Whether it cost $10 or $100, we all need to be aware of the ingredients and materials in the intimacy items, body care and adult toys that we buy. Today, we’re talking about that word you’re not sure on pronouncing; “pthalates.”

What Are Pthalates?

Pronounced “thalates,” they are a group of chemicals used to soften and increase flexibility in plastic and vinyl.

“Phthalates are also used in wood finishes, detergents, adhesives, plastic plumbing pipes, lubricants, medical tubing and fluid bags, solvents, insecticides, medical devices, building materials, and vinyl flooring.”

You can find pthalates in quite a few body care items on store shelves today, many of which are household staples that we all love.

What’s Wrong With Pthalates?

For now, the verdict is still out on the effects from exposure to low levels of pthalates as the answer is still not fully known. Some pthalates in lab studies have affected the reproductive systems of laboratory animals. We’re talking about sex toys here, who really wants problems with his/her reproductive system? I’ve also read that it may be linked to birth defects  in children. While minimal amounts may not be harmful, It’s definitely cause for concern.

What can I do?

While shopping, check the label or product description and make sure it says “pthalate free.” This ensures that you are keeping yourself well informed and safe. As a consumer, you have the buying power to chose what’s in your best health interest, choosing sex toys is no different.

Awkward Question: Adult Circumcision – Should I Do It?

10

What can happen if I do? Will it ruin my sex life?

In male human anatomy, the foreskin is a retractable double-layered fold of skin that covers the glans (bulbous end of penis) and protects the urethral opening when the penis is not erect. Male circumcision is the surgical removal of some or all of the foreskin from the penis. (Beverly, 2012)

Many men of various ethnicities and ages have spent their lives living with uncircumcised penises. While many studies claim health and sexual benefits to keeping the foreskin on the penis, some complain of pain and discomfort during intercourse. Weighing out the pros and cons of this major procedure is crucial to making the right decision.

When considering the procedure itself, one must recognize the difference between infant circumcision and adult circumcision. As a baby, the foreskin is thin and easy to cut, while the adult foreskin is loaded with extremely sensitive nerve endings called Meissner’s corpuscles, which help increase penile sensitivity. Once these nerves are cut, they do not regenerate – results may give you no change in feeling (after healing) or no sensation at all.

How It Works:

Once the penis is numb under local anesthesia, the procedure only takes about 30 minutes. The inside of the foreskin is detached from the shaft using a blunt probe; the foreskin is then grabbed and pulled forward over the head of the penis and clamped straight across with a long forceps. The skin is carefully cut, as not to injure the head of the penis. (Beverly, 2012)

After the procedure is complete, doctors advise that patients do not masturbate or participate in any sexual activity for four to six weeks. Most normal activity can resume in  a matter of days.

Despite claims that circumcision helps fight penile cancer and AIDS contraction, the number of infants being circumcised has dropped over recent years. In 2010, the rate of U.S. male-infant circumcision was approximately one out of every three — 33%. Pretty soon, that may be even lower.

Benefits of Saving Your Foreskin:

According to polls, The majority of women rate intercourse with an intact male (uncircumcised) as more pleasurable than with a circumcised male. (AskMen, 2011)

Post-adult circumcision, many patients felt regretful for their decision.

Benefits of the Procedure:

Studies show that adult circumcision increases the amount of time men take to ejaculate, which may be seen as an advantage. This may be due to the weakening of nerve sensitivity – which may mean the man feels less sensation during intercourse.

Any man considering this procedure is urged to consult with a licensed physician prior to making their choice. The surgery cannot be reversed.

Awkward Question: Can My Vagina Fall Out?

2

[dropcap]C[/dropcap]an my vagina fall out?

The answer is yes, but probably not for the reasons you think. This event is called Vaginal Prolapse, and is quite common. Prolapse takes place when muscles are strained beyond their ability to stay in place, and certain repeated actions can trigger this:

  • Obesity
  • A long-lasting cough
  • Frequent constipation/straining
  • Tumors on the pelvic organs

Pelvic prolapse tends to be more likely in older women, during or after menopause. Childbirth and prior surgeries in the pelvic area may cause the organs to weaken and fall through. Bladder prolapse is the most common, followed by urethra, uterus, vagina, small bowel and rectum. The organs literally fall through the orifice and protrude from it.

Symptoms of pelvic prolapse include:Feeling pressure from pelvic organs pressing against the vaginal wall. This is the most common symptom.

Other Symptoms of Pelvic Prolapse include:

    • Feeling very full in your lower belly.
    • Feeling as if something is falling out of your vagina.
    • Feeling a pull or stretch in your groin area or pain in your lower back.
    • Releasing urine without meaning to (incontinence), or needing to urinate a lot.
    • Having pain in your vagina during sex.
    • Having problems with your bowels, such as constipation.
A physical exam as well as a pelvic exam will be necessary to properly diagnose this disorder and treat it according to the specific organ – but a doctor’s visit is a must. The severity of prolapse can vary, and treatment may range from kegel exercises (discussed here) to invasive surgery.
As always, if you feel pain or discomfort and feel that this may be the cause – please see a doctor immediately.

Mentholate Your Mouth

Mentholate Your Mouth…

Try brushing your teeth before kissing your partner or going down on him/her. The minty paste will create a cooling sensation on the genitals and on the tongue. Toothpaste will generally last about 10-15 minutes, so you may have to brush again to repeat the feeling.

Soaked Cotton Balls

Drench a cotton ball in a sweet liqueur like amaretto or crème de menthe, then run it down his treasure trail and around and behind his testicles, licking up the liqueur as you go and planting tiny kisses on his most responsive body parts. “The alcohol will evaporate quickly, leaving behind a tingly, cool sensation,” says Joan Elizabeth Lloyd, author ofTotally Private: Answers to Questions Lovers Long to Ask.

Pillows

Using pillows in varying positions not only provides leverage for yourself and/or your partner, but if done correctly, can bring increased sensation to your erogenous zones.

While in the Missionary position, prop your back up with two or three  pillows. This will allow more blood to flow into your genitals, which increases sensitivity and strengthens orgasms.

Panty Hose
“Wrap a pair of nylons around your hands like gloves,” advises Paget. “Then give him a slow, sensual hand job through the fabric.” Why he’ll be in ecstasy: It’s easier to massage his penis through the sheer, silky nylons than with a dry hand. “And he’ll also be turned on by feeling this ultrafeminine fabric on his skin,” adds Lou Paget, author of The Big O: Orgasms.

From The Writer’s Desk:

Women ask me all the time about vibrators and how they work. Do they hurt? Does it have to go in me? Will my guy get upset? How do I know what size to get? I don’t know what to do!

Don’t panic – I’m here to walk you through choosing your first vibrator.

The key is to know what you want out of a vibrator before you even look at one. Are you into penetration? Do you prefer clitoral stimulation? Do you want both?  These are the main points, everything else is secondary.

As for the question of whether your partner will get upset – always remember that sharing is caring 🙂

Nuff Love,

Kimi

Many options are available. This week, we will begin with:

                                                                                       The Bullet/Egg:

This is primarily for clitoral stimulation. Some egg shaped bullets may provide mild penetration, but they’re not built to go very far into the vagina. Multi-level bullets give you various stages of intensity, while single-level bullets still get the job done with less.

Also Try:

Doc Johnson’s Go Vibe for a

quick fix.

Finger Vibe:

The Finger Vibe can be used by yourself or with a partner, as it provides interactive participation for both of you. A good finger vibrator is multi-level, and  waterproof like the one featured on our store site. It’s small, but very powerful.

Black Steel (AKA “Rabbit”) G-Spot Vibrator:

This is a top-tier vibrator, as it provides multiple methods of pleasure in one package. Rabbit vibrators are the most popular types of adult toys on the market, and come in various sizes with different functions.

The featured Black Steel provides G-spot stimulation as well as clitoral with an added bonus of rotating steel beads inside the shaft. These beads, while working with the vibration power, increase sensation to the G-spot for an awesome experience.

All of these products are available for purchase at our store site –

Urinary Tract Infections (UTI); Symptoms and Treatments

7

What is a UTI?

Your urinary tract is the system that makes urine and carries it out of your body. It includes your bladder and kidneys and the tubes that connect them. When germs get into this system, they can cause an infection.

Most urinary tract infections are bladder infections. A bladder infection usually is not serious if it is treated right away. If you do not take care of a bladder infection, it can spread to your kidneys. A kidney infection is serious and can cause permanent damage.

How are UTI’s Caused?

Urinary Tract Infections are often caused by bacteria getting into the urethra (the tube that transports urine from your bladder to outside your body). The germs that usually cause these infections live in your large intestine and are found in your stool. If these germs get inside your urethra, they can travel up into your bladder and kidneys and cause an infection.

Women tend to get more bladder infections than men. This is probably because women have shorter urethras, so it is easier for the germs to move up to their bladders. Having sex can make it easier for germs to get into your urethra.

What are the symptoms?

You may have an infection if you have any of these symptoms:

  • You feel pain or burning when you urinate.
  • You feel like you have to urinate often, but not much urine comes out when you do.
  • Your belly feels tender or heavy.
  • Your urine is cloudy or smells bad.
  • You have pain on one side of your back under your ribs. This is where your kidneys are.
  • You have fever and chills.
  • You have nausea and vomiting.

Call your doctor right away if you think you have an infection and:

  • You have a fever, nausea and vomiting, or pain in one side of your back under your ribs.
  • You have diabetes, kidney problems, or a weak immune system.
  • You are older than 65.
  • You are pregnant.

How are UTI’s diagnosed?

Urine samples are tested by your physician for bacteria that causes the infection.

How do I prevent a Urinary Tract Infection?

Drink lots of fluids (water)

Limit sugar intake (UTI’s tend to be higher in those with diabetes)

For women, urinate right after sexual intercourse

Do NOT attempt to hold urine; if you have to go – do it when possible.

Post-menopausal women may want to ask their doctors about using vaginal estrogen to prevent recurrent UTIs.

Over-the counter remedies are available to fight urinary tract infections, such as pure cranberry juice and plenty of hydration. Please see a licensed physician if you are experiencing symptoms of a urinary tract infection. Only a doctor can prescribe antibiotics to rid you of the infection.
