Morning Head for Natural Hair
Hey Vadgesters! So if you are a Shark Tank fan like I am, you may have seen the eposiode with a dope product called MorningHead. The creator demonstrated how users could fix their bedhead without having to wash their hair each day. That demonstration looked something like this…
This may be a bit less attainable for curly/kinky individuals, but I have found a practical use nonetheless. Many of us love the effects of steaming our hair, but don’t have the time to sit under a steamer every day. Not to mention that hair steamers are pricey for those on a budget.
I was honored to receive a sample MorningHead box to review, and now I can share the results with you all.
Note: This is not a paid advertisement. I received the product in exchange for my honest feedback.
I modified the standard instructions to suit my natural hair needs:
The night before, I twisted my hair up into bantu knots to retain lenth.
I put a shower cap over my shrunken morning afro, then added hot water to the MorningHead cap.
While showering, I let the cap steam my hair up.
I let the knots down and removed the twists after they air dried on my way to work. Then, I pulled my hair up in a bunny tail (ponytails are straight, lol) for the day.
It worked great! I didn’t even do all that I wanted to do with it, but I was able to retain more moisture and length than usual. On my next go round, I’ll try hotter water, as well as a leave-in conditioner before steaming. I can’t wait to do it again. This is perfect for morning after hair. Just keep a cap in your purse, lol.
For about $10, this is a useful purchase for natural hair. It may not be what the MorningHead creator had in mind, but it worked perfectly. Shoppers have the option to purchase one-time or subscribe monthly. Let’s see how long this one lasts, I may need one at my door all the time!
This is great. I’m going natural and I need ad many tools as possible.
It’s definitely an awesome product to have on hand for those days when you want to “wash” and go. I don’t have to worry about my hair dripping on my way to work, lol. Good luck on your natural journey!
Looks great!
Thanks – it’s awesome!
