Easy Exercises for Carpal Tunnel Relief

Before starting these exercises, you may want to prep the muscles with a few drops of essential oil. Peppermint oil and ylang ylang are known to have relieving, anti-inflammatory benefits without chemical ingredients.

You can also use natural supplements for muscle relief, like Arnica Montana.

Now, back to the workout. These simple exercises may help alleviate some of the pain and pressure of carpal tunnel. I typically do these moves throughout the day, as a way to stretch the tendons and loosen the muscles while working.

Flexion and Extension Exercises

Flexion and Extension relax and stretch the muscles for maximum relief.

These are great moves to use if you sit at a desk and type often, as the repetitive motion often causes muscles to seize/tighten.

Each motion serves a purpose and targets a specific muscle area.

The above motions are helpful for those who lift/hold items in the same position on a regular basis (weight lifters, machine operators, drivers, etc.).

Flexing the inner muscles can help relieve tension. It may also alleviate  discomfort experienced through prolonged squeezing (I’m looking at you, chronic masturbators).

  1. This is great! My husband has carpal tunnel and he’s a machine operator. He uses his hands constantly and he is in constant pain. Barring surgery there is nothing. I’m going to show him your blog! Thanks! Julie
